This Latina musician group purchased my Floral Crowns and wore them during their performances....they plan to wear them for all their gigs!	Inspired by Frida Khalo, I created and sold Floral Crowns for Dia de los Muertos at Museum of Northern Arizona.
I create Dia de los Muertos Altars. This Altar was to celebrate the lives of my parents, Agustine and MaryAnn Mendez. Museum of Northern Arizona and Sedona's Tlaquepaque Arts/Crafts Village	Dia de los Muertos Flagstaff community event. I collaborated with NAU Latino clubs, Latino community organizations and Coconino Hispanic Advisory Council to host this inaugural event in 2016.
I taught this NAU Latina club, Hermanas, United for Change, how to make Floral Crowns and donated all the supplies. They raised over $500 from this project	I'm alumna of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority Inc. and active in supporting women in higher education. This picture was at our national conference, celebrating graduating sisters, including me (I earn my Masters degree in December 2017)!
NAU students dressed up to honor one of Flagstaff's Latina "Rosies" at Cesar Chavez Community Breakfast, March 2017	C.H.A.C. sponsored 2017 Cesar Chavez community breakfast. This event honored Latina Rosie the Riveters and Flagstaff students were recognized & awarded for their community service.
